I’ve always been fascinated by how brands connect with people. From catchy jingles to eye-catching ads, I loved the art of storytelling and persuasion. This interest led me to explore marketing, where I found the perfect mix of creativity and strategy.
My passion for marketing grew during high school, where I excelled in business subjects. I realized that marketing is more than just selling products—it’s about creating meaningful connections between brands and people.
Education
In May 2023, I started my journey at Durham College in the Business Marketing program. The program’s mix of theory and hands-on experience was exactly what I needed to build a strong foundation in marketing.
One course that stood out was Computer Applications for Marketing. It sharpened my technical skills and taught me how to create and analyze marketing materials. I’ve worked on projects that helped me apply classroom knowledge to real-world situations, developing a strategic mindset along the way.
Professional Experiences
While studying, I sought out internships and freelance projects to gain real-world experience. I’ve worked on various marketing campaigns, including a social media project for a local nonprofit that taught me the importance of understanding audiences and using data to guide decisions.
Personal Interests
Outside of school, I have a passion for content creation. I run a blog where I share marketing tips and trends, which has helped me build my personal brand. I also manage social media for local businesses, giving me practical experience in content creation, engagement, and performance tracking.
